Chronicle of Wen Chi Seafood

1964 Mr. Chen Wen-Jiao the CEO of Wen Chi Seafood was born in Liouciou Township in Pingtung county, Taiwan.
1985 Mr. Chen was employed by Hoyi Store and started learning fish trading in the market.
1987 Mr. Chen had a dream of building a high standard processing factory.
1988 Mr. Chen started his own business for fish processing.
1990 Wen Chi Store was established for marlin processing in the market.
1993 Wen Chi Store was registered officially.
1995 Wen Chi Store cooperated with Wan Xiang Store.
1996 Wen Chi Store, Wan Xiang Store and Chong Shin Store started the cooperation for exportation.
2004 The land was purchased for the factory.
2009 Wen Chi Seafood Company Limited was established merging Wen Chi Store, Wan Xiang Store and Chong Shin Store.
2010 The plan of building factory getting started.
2011 The build permission was approved and the factory started being built on 1st October.
2012 The certificate of the factory was approved.
2013 The opening ceremony was on 29th March, 2013.
The certificates of HACCP and EU (7FH0033) were approved on 11th November.
2014 U.S FDA registration no. (16630974636)  was approved on 22th October.
2015 Halal certificate (CP35301070215) was approved on 2nd February.
2016 Russia FSVPS (7FH0033) was approved.
2019 BRC Global Standard for Food Safety (2225321) was approved.
2020 The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), Chain of Custody (CoC) / Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC), Chain of Custody (CoC) (MSC-C-58070/ASC-C-02877) was approved.
